The use of feasibility studies to help homeowners decide on the design of the project has been around for some time now and has been hugely successful. It’s all very well doing elaborate elevation drawings but to many these are just lines on a page and have little or no meaning. It’s only when the drawing is converted to an isometric view that it starts to take on meaning. Add to that a 3D interior rendering and almost anyone can now see what the interior and exterior of their build will look like before calling in the builders.

If you do have difficulties when viewing plans then you might consider asking your architect how much he would charge for preparing a feasibility study before committing to a full set of plans. In that way you stand to lose far less should you decide to abort the project.
